Ebolaworld wants YOU!

Ebolaworld is currently looking for writers to post interesting and funny articles on the front-page of the new site coming out this March. We are looking for those who can write interesting topics to catch people's attention. Topics do not have to be about Ebolaworld, as you can talk about anything and everything, as long as it's stimulating and comical. The idea is for the articles to hopefully become viral, and bring more attention to the website.

Back of the Box

This is the back cover for the upcoming Awards Show DVD!

Just a little update for you guys: I know I haven't released anything for a while, but I promise you that there is a lot of stuff in the works!

1. Messed-Up Bible Stories 7: The Seduction of Lot - I've seen numerous demands for the continuation of the Lot story, as it's a pretty messed up one. It was always planned, and is currently in development. The release date is Feb 22nd!

2. New Website - The website is in development and looking good! I'm dropping the flash interface for PHP. The front page will be a blend of the blog along with buttons for different sections of the website. All your favorite episodes and series will be easy to find. All the cartoons will be in video format, so no more SWF for you. Also, I will be bringing back a lot of the old stuff with some new fun intros and outros (is that a word?). Look for the new site this March!

3. Awards Show DVD - This has been promised to be released for 4 years now and is finally (FINALLY) happening! It will include all 3 Award Shows, in full, with added (fake) commercials. It will also have all 3 Anniversary Shows, and commentary. So needless to say, this DVD will be packed with content! The DVD will be released along with the new website this March!

4. History of Ebolaword - 2010 marks the 10th year of Ebolaworld, and to celebrate Taco-Man (and Bunny) will look back at the last 10 years with 10 hilarious videos. Expect the first one (you guessed it) this March with the launch of the new website.

10 Years of Ebolaworld

Happy New Year! 2010 is Ebolaworld's tenth year online, and we'll be celebrating it all year long! Here is what to expect:

Website Overhaul

The current website is all flash and clunky as hell. It's so bad that I've even stopped updating it myself. However, I'm currently working on a new design that will be easy to navigate and fun to visit. Also, the SWF format will be dropped in favor of video. Look for the new site in about a month!

The website is currently offline until the new site is ready.

Awards Show DVD
This DVD has been promised for four years now and is finally coming to fruition. Luckily, a lot of content has built up during that time and the disc will be packed with all 3 Awards Show and some new content as well. The DVD will be on sale in the store as soon as the new website is up.

Ebolaworld History
During 2010, 10 videos will be released chronicling Ebolaworld's history year by year. The documentaries will show the ups and downs, and the ups again, of the website, and include never before seen video footage of me making the cartoons.

Other
Also this year, Taco-Man will be playing more video games, and continuing his adventures in Video Game World with a certain hedgehog. More tales from the Bible will be told. A new possible series will begin this Halloween. And Snowy will finally see his last episode.

Ebolaworld may be going on it's 10th year, but things are just getting started! In the comments below, please tell me about your favorite moment, series, or episode from the website over the years.

Snowy VI: Camp Death

It's finally here! Have a great Christmas and New Year! See you in 2010!

I should note that this will be my very last SWF movie. I have used flash for 9 long years and as my animations have become more lengthy and complex, flash hasn't kept up. They have allowed many problems to linger without any attempt to fix them, such as: audio going out of sync with long timelines, graphics corrupting and blinking for no reason, a 16,000 frame limit, a broken quicktime export (seriously, why do they keep this option in each version?), no audio export (mac only), jerky animation, and I could go on. Hell, I can't even use CS4 because it refuses to open my cartoons made in Cs3 and earlier. The program seems to have moved in favor of game developers, which is fine, but I just wish they would release an "animators only" version.

After much consideration, I've decided that I will construct all my future cartoons using Premiere, After Effects, and Final Cut Pro, still making the actual animation in Flash, but with several short FLA's for all the different scenes. I believe this change will give me the freedom to expand and also make better animations.

As for Newgrounds, I will still upload there by compressing my videos to SWF format using After Effects. Many other popular artist already do this, and nobody seems to mind.

The movie is coming along great and I believe it will be the best one since episode 2. It has the right mixture of comedy and drama that has made the series so popular. Plus, the twist at the end is mind-blowing.
